Fragmented registry

How does your registry become fragmented? When a file is installed on a system it creates an entry in the registry. If you remove the file it does not remove the registry entry but fills it with blank spaces. This creates an evergrowing fragmented registry.

When your registry is fragmented it causes your systems performance to decrease. Your registry will require more resources at start time and will slow the boot process. As well as forcing more programs to use virtual memory as the registry takes up more space.

The solution is a free program available at PCWORLD The software is called Eusing Free Registry Cleaner and I recommend it highly.

After installing the program run it at least three times to remove entries that are buried in layers under fragmented registry entries.
